Hi,

My names Jamie and I live near Winchester Hampshire. This site was recommended to me by one of my most knowledgeable friends on photography so he can't be wrong. Always loved taking photo's with my phone as a child and this developed from there. Purchased a bridge camera and played with long shutter speeds and learnt the basics. However after a weekend at a car event and only 4 of the 200+ photos i had taken were of any use i said sod it im buying a DSLR. Canon 600d was the best new camera i could afford at the time and thats what i purchased. Got a tripod, bag, 70-300 tamron lens for free, handy for my Nurburgring and Le Mans trips. (The store manager seemed to like me i got a lot of stuff thrown in!) and well that's that really. Recently become a big fan of macro photography using my marine tank as a subject but not getting on with the reversing ring at the moment! Anyway. Hi and here is some development pictures... I have a long way to go!

The day I got nothing but unfocused rubbish!

Started getting some nicer pictures

My very first time shooting night time race cars at Le mans, Really need to try nail this for June this year!

Some marine ones i took yesterday that im not really happy with to be honest:

Thank you for the warm welcome :-) Ill try do some good marine shots if i can. looing at maybe purchasing a macro ring after not getting on with the reversing ring. However most will be in the Motorsport topic :D

Hi Jamie, welcome along! I look forward to seeing your motorsport shots, I love the le mans cars, any interest in F1?

Although a strange thing for many to understand, I'm not a fan of F1. Prefer touring cars / DTM because they actually look like cars, and Le Mans for the total madness of it all!

I like touring cars for the contact argie barginess. The F1 cars this year do look well dodgy:-!
