my old mondeo finally bit the bullet, had to get the vet out to put it out of its misery...poor girl let go on the m20....

so i got a new one!!!!!

Ford Focus, TDCi Ghia, panther black, 52 plate, lovely car...brrrrrmmmmm! :D

cant wait!

got to get some nice arty shots now too....:D

Make sure you get your polariser on for it, my old black type R was a real SoB to get decent shots on.

well. the Jag XJS is a 5.3ltr V12 with a top speed of 150 and 0-60 of less than 5 secs:) ,
but its white,and in bitz......:innocent:

my Black Signum is a 2.2 turbo with an intercooler that has done 145 mph, yho the 0-60 aint so impresive , it has a 5 speed clutchless tiptronic box , which i can run in full auto if i want to relax, lol

i bet its almost as good at matts new motor, lol:Ponders:

type R eh ? not so bad i spose, lol

ur prolly right there m8 , u got less doors than me for a start ,

mind you , i recon the jag might stand u a run at the moment , as its much lighter with no doors, bonnet, wings boot or bodykit, lol , that lot alone weighs as much as ur type r , lol

btw, it has a standard 318 bhp , and i'm gona put another 100 on with a NOS kit, muhahahahaha

I've got a Focus Chic...Limited Edition with leather heated seats, quickclear windowscreen etc.etc........shame about the name though, bit girly.

Had it just over 3 years from new 02 plate...never let me down apart from a coil problem which got sorted straight away. Good cars, very reliable.
 
I have a 51 plate Focus Ghia TDDI, saloon model. They nice motors... actually I'm almost certain you've seen pictures of it?

i have! nice...i looked at a saloon, but in electric current red it didnt look right :nut:
 
focus is a great car, my next buy, i particularly like the new focus ST, in orange but outwith price range lol

But its not an S :sadcry:

Did the test drive before xmas and loved the car. Like you said, I ended up hustling it along a twisty road WAY faster than I would ever dare in the S. Much more flexible engine too as the VTEC comes in smoother and lower down.

Still, I shall miss the S.
 
You should have stuck to the good old mondeo (J/k wouldn`t mind a focus st next) , I have 2 now and I Love the one i have now :)

Only kidding with you m8, you'll love it and i'm sure it'll exceed your experience with the Mondeo.

And yes, the ST170 headlamp units are lightly smoked.

Nice one Matty. I must admit, the Focus Asbo certainly appeals, money being no object. In bright orange, of course! (If you're gonna be a bear, be a grizzly!)
 
Taking a 3.0 D Sport X5 out for the day next Tuesday whilst missus's car is in for Service ;) . Couldn't justify new price but S/H ....mmmm. Also need to try VW Toe Rag out ;).....can be bought for £4K less via Internet brokers for UK car .

Talking Mondeos I saw what I thought was a ST220 ? come pass, only to find it was Diesel.....getting it sussed these days with sporty looks with economy....nice looking car.

Joe re 330D, drove MattF's Sport version.... helluva of a car & he still gets 38mpg when booting it hard !!
 
That'll be the Mondeo TDCi, Dave. By all accounts a rather nifty piece of kit. The singer in the band I'm in has one and loves it to bits. '140mph before you know it' were his words, more or less.
 
tdci rocks....a rep(natch)who comes to us drives a 6 speed tdci, and he loves it....
 
I get AutoExpress weekly by subscription (something mad like 80p a week this way !!) ....anyway seen Vauxhall are looking to bring out 200BHP Diesel Astra .....new 207 GTI looks awesome & for you Type R guys they are reviewing the new Civic Type R next week

Yep m8 they are slightly tinted. I put a set of ultra xenons in mine to compensate for it... not that it really needed it. :thumb: Cost me about £25 for a pair of H1's and a pair of H7's.

Only thing to watch out for - you'll almost certainly knacker either the old lamp unit or the levelling motor when trying to separate the two - you don't get new motors with the ST170 units.

I had to hack saw my old MK1 units to get the motors out in one piece.
 
Be sure to post the review of the Type R m8, I loved my 03plate.

Last time I checked Honda hadn't even shown a 3 door body for the new civic and specs hadn't been confirmed other than they'd have one out sometime in 07
