Nice car John, it looks very "futuristic". What material are those side panels made of? They look squishy. Is it the same stuff on the corners?
Although most trolley damage is done to the backs of cars rather than the sides. Having said that, it looks like the Cactus has extra protection on the front bumper so probably has similar on the rear. IIRC the protection panels are both hard to damage and easy to replace when they are scratched. SHOULD be cheap too but I bet they're not as cheap as they should be!
In my opinion it's hideous super chav like in Barbour for the car but cheap and French, and focuses on people who don't like to drive.
But hey who cares about my opinion, what is important is that you like it.

Always exciting getting a new car.Enjoy it John!
I've seen quite a few of them on the roads, and have to say that I'm in the 'hate' camp - but what I think really doesn't matter.
It's your car and if you like it, have fun with it.
BTW I'll confess to having a strange compulsion to get out of the car and poke the panel bits to see what they felt like when one was stopped next to me at traffic lights . . . fortunately I managed to resist, but don't be surprised if random strangers start accosting you when you're in stationary traffic
When do you get to pick it up?

It's not just me them.![]()
I really like them. Citreon have some nice looking cars
- I'll be waiting for your cash to have a go
Some reviews describe it as bubble wrap on the outside so maybe that is why
That's just asking for "trouble" you know how addictive popping bubble wrap isbubble wrap
Yeah maybe I could charge to let people 'Poke my bumps'![]()

It certainly is a Marmite car I reckon - so what do you not like about it - is it the bumps ? - that's what I did not like
I would have thought you would liked it, after all women are supposed to like pretty things,I'm starting off from a pretty negative position.

It's to fend off small dings like car doors and shopping trolleys. The women at the garage said when the car was launched they went to a seminar and had one of them ram a trolley of groceries into a normal car - lots of damage and did the same with the cactus and nothing
Hmmm Citroen that well known 4x4 specialist !- that bubble wrap down the side will be a lot of use down a hedge row which presumably it is designed for?
Sorry, Hate camp for me - but if it floats your boat enjoy it we can't all be the same and the world would be a poorer place if we were.
When it worked, the Daf rubberband transmission was brilliant. The handling of an MGB wasn't, nor was the power delivery from the B series engine.Everyone thought my DAF 66 was a joke but it beat my Workmates MGB around the Country lanes of Cornwall i.e. was always in the right Drive Ratio with
no Stick waving or Feet pumping.
Yeah I can imagine the panels will fade over time etc but only time will tell. Actually the 1.2 turbo is supposed to be the one to get and quite nippy. But you are right the car has clever design to make it very light and it gets something like 80mpg..... See who's laughing now![]()

OP, if you like it that's all that matters.
Many people don't agree with my choice of vehicles, but I like them and I don't buy them for other people to look at, I buy them for me to drive.

Context Lynton. Context. Oh so sentive. So Barbour is chavvy.. I remember that next time I go on a shoot then!
Saw one of these for the first time last week and quite liked it
It was in red, that was it's only fault
The real test is driving one though, I've fallen out with a lot of cars on test drives !!!
Because they have a reverse gear?
Really? Looks like someone covered it in glue and drove it through Halfords. Perhaps you'd like some styling hints from http://www.barryboys.co.uk/I reckon some side skirts would look the part
