Yes
I actually saw this car on the roads a few times and at first to be honest I actually laughed and thought it looked ridiculous with the 'duvet' type effect along the side. BUT that was before I found out what colours you could get and before I test drove one.

It a marmite car I think.... many will hate it but its a lovely car to drive and well equiped (top of the range model) I had previoulsy tried the Juke and the qashqai and they were good but this is as good and better in some respects (like the reversing camera)

I got this brand new like I said top of the range for less than I would have paid for a 4 year old Quashqai. The photo below is not my actual car (when I get it) but its nearly the same but the bumps on mine are black not grey I think

Let the mocking begin :)

I like it but I like Citroens, We are on our third C3.

Hi John, if you`re Happy then Bolloks to what anyone else thinks.

Everyone thought my DAF 66 was a joke but it beat my Workmates MGB around the Country lanes of Cornwall i.e. was always in the right Drive Ratio with
no Stick waving or Feet pumping.

I've seen them on the road quite a bit, and I assumed the quilted sides were damage limitation, when you side swipe a cyclist?
( who probably had it coming anyway :D )

Do they have optional extra ones for the corners of the car?

Oooooooh! That's given me an idea! Skateboard anti-slip tape along the usual contact lines on the cars and bumper strips down the edges!

To the OP, as said, you're buying it to please YOU not us so what does it matter what we think? Looks best (? least bad!!! ;)) in orange IMO.

I would suspect that its only a matter of time ;)
Do you remember when the OVLOV's first introduced and marketed as a safety feature, the side impact bars?
There were OVLOV's pulling out of all sorts of side turnings, believing they were invincible.
However many years later, it seems that everyone now believes that they are too.

The side bits are apparantly to stop bumps in supermarkets and such and apparantly work well according to the 5th gear review.

If you look online it gets some cracking reviews and was voted top gears hatchback of the year award 2014

I reckon in years to come people will mod these cars.......

And a good idea it is too. :)

I can see it now, twin side pipes jacked up rear, wide wheels, faux fur interior, dice hanging from the mirror ( well what else do you use and interior mirror for? :D )

Ha...ha...... yep the Japanese would love it

I have never cared what others think of stuff I buy.... I bought a Lada Niva 4X4 - brilliant of road and I know of an off road center that used one to pull other 4X4 out when they were stuck

I also had a Kia Sedona long before they were the brand they are today and got a great car with loads of extras for little money - they are quite expensive now

There are some cracking deals to be had on Citroens new if you shop about, yes they depreciate heavily in the first 3 years, but get it at the right price and keep it for say 5 years.

Yeah to right well we never even thought of a new car but the deal was better than second hand - Citroen paid something like £2000 into the deal

I like them in some colours, but not all the colours look nice..this one does..

Yes totally agree :agree: some are awful like the one with the brown coloured side air bumps :cautious: the one we have ordered is all black with red mirrors and flash and black (not grey) side aid bumps

I love the all electronic dashboard with the MFDs, was seriously considering one of these for my next car (all in black so it's not too girly loooking). I've not driven one but I think they might be a bit small on the inside for me.

I've only ever owned one Citroen, and it was an absolute 5h1t of a car. Worst car ever. Seriously.
But.....I do quite like these :-)

I'm sorry, did a photographer just buy a car that has selective colour wing-mirrors?

Is it the cactus if so what model

Congratulations on your new car anyway

Its the flair model (top of the range) 1.6 HDI diesel which is a small engine (my Mazda 6 is 2.2) but it pulls well and is great to drive

This has a digital speedo which is white and easy to read a big colour touch screen for other controls and Sat-nav etc. Really good screen though which is great for the Sat-Nav and the reverse camera - reverse camera is leagues ahead of the one we tried on the Juke and the qashqai

Yeah I have not had a Citroen before but I understand the brand in not the most reliable BUT this does have a 3 year full warranty so that helps

One thing I have to say I completely went for when I bought my first C3 over 14 years ago was the digital dash for the speedo, it is the bees knees and according to my sat nav absolutely spot on within 1 mph, I also ride a Kawasaki versys 650 with a digital dash and it just works so well for me.

I think Citroen were one of the first to have 'digital' speedos, I remember driving a CX back in 1980 that had a revolving drum speedo that looked kinda digital :D
I remember you had to get in, start the engine and wait a minute for the suspension to rise up before you could drive away

still will not protected it from doors being banged into it in French supermarket car parks

Yeah I remeber old Citroens doing that - I also remember driving a 2CV with the gear leaver from the dashboard

Yeah on a review I read they said it would be good in Paris

Coincidentally, I spotted one of these on my way back from dropping Mrs Nod off in town - black with red mirrors. TBH, it looked pretty good apart from looking like it had had its mirrors knocked off and replaced with scrapyard ones in the wrong colour.

:ROFLMAO:

Well its nothing new - there are a few cars I have seen with different colour mirrors - now if it had different colour fron wings that would be different :cautious:

lol no 2cv here but I did drive a Renault 4 that had what looked like an umbrella handle gear stick sticking out of the dash when I worked for the same company that had the CX. When they came to sell it, it had not been run for weeks, was covered in a foot of snow and started first time when a buyer looked it over, she bought it on the spot.

what do the side bits do?

(if anything)

It's to fend off small dings like car doors and shopping trolleys. The women at the garage said when the car was launched they went to a seminar and had one of them ram a trolley of groceries into a normal car - lots of damage and did the same with the cactus and nothing

In my opinion it's hideous super chav like in Barbour for the car but cheap and French, and focuses on people who don't like to drive.

But hey who cares about my opinion, what is important is that you like it.
