Have taken some Shots now with above lens,and are in my Gallery if Anybody wants to Look and Comment.

Please be Kind what with the Weather and my Shaking Hands,also being a New Lens.

What with the Weather, and Light Conditions,and the Aperture F4-F5.6 means I will have to wait for the Weather to Improve to get some Better Shots.

I thought the 7D was brilliant at higher ISO?

I'll keep an eye on this as I'm tempted, supposed to be razor sharp wide open.
 
I am very tempted... Kerso is getting stock at a decent price....
 
That review makes it seem quite nice! If i had the dough i'd definately get one, although the non constant aperture seems a bit iffy, would much rather have at least f4!
 
It's an 'L' disguised as..... an 'L'... !

Don't confuse this with the optically similar 70-300 IS USM, which is almost as good but not built to the same standards.

Also, don't expect it to give you as decent a result at 400mm as the 100-400L ..... what I'm saying is I'm sure it's superb, but if reach is what you're after then only reach will do. Lord knows, 400mm isn't anywhere near close enough on many occasions...

Tony, you're not talking about the same lens as the OP. He's talking about the brand new 70-300L and you're talking about the oldish 70-300 IS which ain't an L lens, no matter how good your imagination is.

How can a 70-300 lens give any results at 400mm?! You getting into the Christmas spirit a bit early?
