Hi Folks.

I have always had a notion to take up photography since I was a teenager but work commitments have never seemed to allow me the time.

After 2 years of very long hours I have committed myself to a 40 hour week and getting some me time. I have borrowed a 400D to get me started and am now looking for inspiration and of course some help from all you folks here.

Looking forward to reading through these forums.

Thanks for the reply. It feels like a very friendly forum.

As you say gathering up the funds really does seem to be the issue with this hobby. I really didnt think that the cost of lenses would be so much. Certainly borrowing someones kit lets me get started without too much expense. Certainly it will be a while before I divert money from the food budget to the camera budget.:)

Welcome to the forum Steve. Fortunately photography can be lots of fun even with a point and shoot or a not too expensive DSLR. I had a point and shoot and enjoyed it until I managed to save up for a basic level DSLR. I hope you find the forumas welcoming and helpful as I have this last year.
