I'm looking forward to completing my collection of books from Nick Brandt, finally got round to ordering 'Across The Ravaged Land' from Amazon and just waiting for it to be delivered now.

What's with your free plug for Amazon, then? Surely it's possible to link to the publisher's site without promoting a particular retailer?

I don't think Amazon need to rely on little ole me for advertising.

For those who have an Amazon phobia...... other retailers are available.


Thanks Ste. You can see most of the pictures in the book on various websites (probably best to seek the authors official site out not to upset anyone), but they certainly have more impact when in a book rather than a computer screen.

I have the previous two books and am planning on getting the third - thanks for the link, a reminder to order it. I know there was issue with how happy he was with the printing of one of the books and there was a book combining the first two, but think it's quite pricy in comparison.

Absolutely love his photographs, and would love to see prints of these in an exhibition - a gallery in London had them on display last year to promote the new book but for various reasons I didn't go along - kicking myself since. Looking at his site, there isn't anything planned for the UK in the foreseeable future.

I often get lost in the books, and find his stuff very inspiring, even though it's a totally different genre than I normally follow.

It was the first book that he had issues with, says on his website. Personally I found nothing wrong with it other than the size, the 2nd book did look better.
