Anyone seen the new Bond film, Quantum of Solace.

Just watched it. The film grabs you and does not let you go until the end. Its on for 1 3/4 hours, feels like 30min.

Well worth watching and very enjoyable.

I'm not going to say any more as I don't want to spoil the film for anyone.

so worth watching then? I'm a touch suspicious of films which get a load of prerelease hype...

Going to see this sometime this week...been waiting months for it, but hating going to the cinema when it's packed so it'll be a first showing on a Thursday morning for me :D

It's got to be good because that sour old git Chris Tookey in the Daily Mail panned it and gave it 2/5. Reversing his opinion gives a fair guide.

Don't read the daily mail, so no idea who you're on about. But well worth a watch.

Went last Sunday, double WOW.
Escapism, switch off relax and enjoy.

I must the the only person who was underwhelmed. Its certainly action action action - its like a film trailer for 1h 40 minutes, but the story is very weak. The fight scenes were filmed in an annoyingly way changing camera angle every second.

I enjoyed it, but its nowhere near as good as Casino Royale wasl Its merely average. Don't see it unless you've seen Casino Royale.

Saw it last night & to be honest both me & the missus thought it was pretty boring...very weak storyline

the problem for me is that the films have now become just like any other action film, infact the Bourne Identity films are better as action films...

Bond is all about style & gadgets & neither were in this film...Daniel Craig is a great actor, thought so before he got the Bond role, but the writers need to go back to "Bond roots"

My brother came home suicidal after watching his all time hero in QOS. Boy did he need calming down. He said the same about poor story and how Casino Royale was the film to judge others (Bond) by.

I will find out myself the weekend.

I saw it last week and was very disappointed. Plenty of action yes, but script and storyline are bobbins. I'd rather watch Casino Royale any day.

My partner fell asleep for the last half hour and she didnt wake up till the music kicked in at the final credits!!!

It's got the worst credit sequence of any Bond film, and as for the Theme Music :gag:

The film itself was ok but not a patch on Casino Royale

I went to see Jason Bourne (sorry James Bond, got the names confused there), last week

I think the problem is it's not another bond film, it's a continuation of Casino Royale so it supposes you've A seen Casino Royale and B can remember what happened and the names of all the characters in a film you watched 18 months ago.

I'll be honest I hadn't got a bloody clue what was going on most of the time, I thought the villain was very weak and the action sequences muddled.

The Bourne Trilogy raised the benchmark in action thrillers, Bond is now playing catchup

I'm looking forward to going & seeing this film shortly. I have done my best to ignore the hype etc in the hope that I can view it with no preconceptions.

You'll note the use of the word "hope" there.

Great film, great action. Now I know why my brother was in the remedial class at school. Go see it, well worth it.

Sorry, but as a Bond film, I have seen quite a few better ones tbh. The story was, well, boring, disjointed and a little empty, and the action was more Bourne than Bond. Not that that is a bad thing, not at all, it's just that it wasn't what I expected from a Bond film, and left me feeling a little underwhelmed by the end.

No doubt I'll get flamed for this, but I'm sticking by it.

That's the thing mate, as a stand alone film I thought it was poor. Compared to CR it was even worse.

Now, I tried not to compare it to the last Bond before or after seeing it, but it's hard not to once you have seen both.

And also, this is the official follow up, so it should have been just as good IMO. This was just like the let down that was Matrix 2/3 and Terminator 3. Actually probably worse.

Saw the film this morning and thought it great. The only thing I didn't like was the camera work at the beginning the flashing about was giving me a headache.

I enjoyed Daniel Craig as 'JAMES BOND' and Matt Dammon as 'JASON BOURNE', why not, switch off, relax and enjoy!
It is called ESCAPISM!

Magic Roundabout / Blue Peter / Bill and Ben????
What do you normally watch???

I just wish I escaped to the same place I did whilst watching Casino Royale...the escape this time, was the Exit, and it never came soon enough...

Went to see this myself tonight. Have to say, rather dissapointed... If this had been Craig's first bond movie it would also have been his last.

I give it a 3 out of 5 (and that's only for entertainment value) and won't be rushing to see anymore Bond movies.

I liked it, and it was worth every penny of the £5.15 i spent to see it, but it certainly lost some of the charm of the bond movie, it seemed in danger of being just another action movie.
