I have 7D so should I buy used 2nd 7d for £729 or 1D Mk3 for £1200 or 1D Mkiv used £1995.
For Football inc Night games under lights Thanks all
 
If its ONLY night games then the 1DMKIV.

Its very handy having the same body on two different focal lengths... Familiarity is key when you want that split second shot.

Buying the 7D will allow you cash for a 135 f2 which will give you an extra stop over any 2.8 lens.
 
I don't think you would get a 1 mkIV for that price, if so i think it would be well used.
 
Just had a post removed I assume by the mods (sorry). I have 2 mk3's which have served me well and owned from new. As I have now replaced with mk4's I will be listing one in the for sale section tommorrow after getting it back fro H Lehmann's were its been for service and had a new shutter fitted.

As suggested I doubt very much if you will get a mk4 for under £2k and if you do the condition will reflect it as most go for £2400-£2500. Also if looking for sports body the 1D series is a must rather than 7D.

Don't think I could part with my D300. :)

Found all my Southend RFC posts the other day with advice from you, GC, Jamesb84, Tug and a few others, made interesting reading.
