I have had quite a nice bonus from work this year and am stuck as to which way to go with my kit, so I thought I would ask you knowledgeable lot :D

Currently I have 2 body's,

D200 (just back from being repaired with a new shutter in it)
D50

Along with,

Nikon 18-70mm DX
Nikon 80-400mm VR
Nikon 50mm 1.8
Sigma 10-20mm
Sigma 150mm 2.8 Macro

As I cover quite a large range of events I was thinking of either a D700 or some more fast glass. Mainly a 70-200mm 2.8 and a 85, 1.8

Any suggestions? Should I buy a new body or should I go for more glass?

Lenses first:)

I'd go with the 70-200 VR before the body upgrade it's a great lens:thumbs:

Do you feel as though you have a gap in your set of lenses, or are you just after better quality photos, or (something I'm guilty of too often) do you just want something new?

If the latter, then getting a FF body would mean that all of your lenses change - not always a good thing, but you would get a new experience.

Normally, I would suggest you go with the glass, but I loved it when I moved to FF. Wide angle lenses get really wide.

Looking at your line-up, I expect you'd want to get some FF lenses if you bought a D700, like a FF equivalent of your 18-70mm. Do you have budget for that?

Plus the Sigma 10-20mm won't be any use on FF. So if you went for a D700 your shortest usable lens would be your nifty fifty.

Get a 70-200 f2.8 before buying another body!
