My new 5D MkII arrived today, seeing that i have owned a 5D before it didnt take me long to work out the controls, put it did take me half the day to find a program to convert the Massive Mov. files down to a workable file (avi),
why didnt canon include the software with this camera? its not like its a two bit Nikon, this is a real camera (ducks flying handbags), anyways joking aside, this is the very first movie from me with this fab camera..

the file was 61mg before i converted it down to 3mg, now that makes a big differance, the program i used was WinAVI All in One Converter,
right too much chat and no play, so im off to play,
big thanks kerso again

Many thanks now wheres my red carpet??

The dog looks well impressed..............

out of interest what lens were you using for the video? I tried some video with my 7D for the first time ever with the 70 - 200 and found it almost impossible!!

Although not quite Oscar material, you have lost a lot of image quality compressing so much.

I'd be looking at ffmpeg or mencoder as recoders and going for x264 video in .mkv files. They're not easy progs to master, but they will get you better quality at smaller file sizes

looks good :D no need for autofocus..

just curious, what's the noise in the background? is it the camera?

I would gess its the lens IS

too true, but i find not a lot of people have .MKV players yet, but if i do it in .avi files most peoples have a player for that.

I would gess its the lens IS

good guess
