New 350D for £200, Good deal ?

Looks pretty good to me  - you need a lens to go with it of course.

Looks like a decent price - and you get all that dubious looking tat with it too  :p

It's refurbished "A class" (whatever A class means) and only has a 90 day warranty.

I'm always wary of eBay listings that have sooooooooo much info that they're almost designed to stop anyone reading through it all. It may be ok, but I don't think I'd go for it. Personally I'd prefer to buy on here from a forum member.

also, one of the pics is off the 400d, so be wary as to what else they're saying just in case it doesn't apply to the 350d. Might be as well to look in the classifieds on here just in case there are any (note, I'm not promoting / selling anything, I'm more than happy with my 400d!)

Hi

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CANON-REBEL-X...s_JN?hash=item1c0d1e4e64&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
I have found new 350D's on Ebay for £200 is this a good deal and have any of you had dealing with the seller.

Thanks for looking

In the item specifics it gives the resolution as 6.0-6.9 MP and in the detailed item info it gives 8.2mp. Also at the bottom it states the family line as the rebel which is a US model, I think. If you do go for it just make sure it`s badged at 350D, ie, UK model.

See if you can save for an extra month and stretch up to a 400d - keep an eye on the classifieds - I've seen them come up once or twice already...

A few more discrepancies:

"Member since: 10-Apr-01 in United States"

Location on that auction:

"Manchester"

Location on an auction of their's that I picked at random:

"New York"

If they're abroad it may be a non-UK spec camera (as mentioned already) and there's a very reasonable probability of getting nailed for import duties too.

There's too many inconsistencies in the ad that have already been highlighted - I wouldn't touch it with two barge poles strapped together.... :p

Apart from that, it's actually a Rebel XT, not a 350D and neither model has been produced for years, seller seems genuine enough though.......

Yes - good point about the customs duty - that's an additional cost you'll need to bear in mind..
