Hi all,

As a follow up to the post last week, I've just spoken to the Photo counter at my local Asda (Deeside, North Wales) and the guy there confirmed that they have the required dark bag and spool to load and process 120 film :0) I need to go back in on Monday when the more experienced staff are on shift but looking good for cheap developing that could be nationwide!

I'll update next week once I've got confirmation but definitely worth checking your local stores for fast/cheap developing (they can't scan the negatives).

Cheers
Steve

thats pretty good news, i hope to does go nationwide.

Waiting with interest on this one!

Whilst I am happy for my local Asda to develop Poundland specials for me to test cameras, I'm not sure I'd want them to develop anything important. I have watched the operator roll up a film for me as I asked him not to cut it using his thumb on the middle of each frame (n)

I've got a roll of Ektar 100 which I shot on my YashicaMat 124G. I'll take the risk to see how the results come out. I'm hoping that as it's something different from they usual developing they may take more care so I'll wait and see.

Update - I've just spoken to the 'more experienced' member of staff who basically looked confused and said that they only develop 35mm and APS (!) film so not very helpful at all. Handy to know that Asda will develop a dead film format that you can't buy new any more though eh...

Grrr, might drop an email to the store Manager to see if they will accommodate.

Although any stocks are simply all that remain, neither Kodak nor Fuji have manufactured APS for nearly 2 years now.
