Network printer help

ncurrentl got a sharp mx 182D now it neve come with a ip address so bought a server printer so it could be shared out over the network and any one can print all machines that are xp based work on this unit

i have a windows 7 64 bit operating system and this will not work

i am in the process of starting to give each pc a ip address and add the mac address in to the router so it won't changed the ip address on any pc or device as i found out yesterday

the win 7 pc was from home and now at work

is there anything i can check to see if i have missed out on settings etc

Is there a 64bit driver avail for new printer? Likely your xp boxes will all be 32bit.
Btw you shouldnt need to use mac just to maintain static ip`s

64 bit driver installed

mac adress is just goign to be used for security only aswell as ip adress goign along side it as i can do both
