I have been having a problem in the past month when I try to upload photos to Flickr and Dropbox. Despite the photo being tiny (around 600kb) it is taking forever to upload one, sometimes I have had to cancel after a few minutes as they are just not going anywhere. Things have been fine until recently. I have not loaded anything new onto my PC, I have replaced the router etc (wired) to no avail. Has anyone got any ideas? Download speed seems fine. ISP is T**co.

I tried using a speed test but it just went on forever when testing the upload speed.

What does your router say you are sync'd at upstream? Also, what's the output of

ipconfig /all

(assuming windows) on your PC. What does

ping www.google.co.uk

give you?

Download speed being good wont matter when you're uploading.. Do a quick speedtest.net and see what your rough upload speed is

Edit - must not skim read... Might be worth giving your ISP a shout is your upload sync speed is dropped like andy said

Might be your security setup, try disabling it and see if you can upload.

Contacted my ISP. They are now raising it as a major incident. First reported it 2 weeks ago shortly after they had improved my service to supposedly give me better speeds. Not! Eventually did get results from a speed test. 2.83mbps download speed and 0.23mbps up load speed. That doesn't look right does it?

Depends on how far you are away from the exchange. I know people that get less than both of those.
