What an absolute joke. In 20 years where I live I have only seen my local neighbourhood copper once so many years ago he would be on his pension now. Do they actually exist one has to ask onself or are they just someones imagination?????

Yes, that was my first reaction to this news.

Community coppers are an urban myth.

Community police officers? Last time I saw one of those I was 14 I'm 46 now. Do they still have them?

I see my community team quite often. They walk around the area, organise residents meetings and so on. I would say they walk past the house two or three times a week.

Must be a suburban London thing.

I know the local police attend community council meetings here. I've never been so not met one.
