Most of my negatives come back from development in clear plastics holders. These are ok, but they are slightly tacky and the plastic holder occasionally sticks to the emulsion.

Is there something else I can use?

You can get some glassine ones (posh grease proof paper) which are translucent and your negs shouldn't stick to them. The only downside is the price, they aren't cheap for what they are, if you are getting them for free then you might as well stick with them :)

I've got sme Kenro acetate sheetsa which are terrible, negatives just stick to the sheets, don't slide at all. I've got the glassine ones on order from AG, but as there's also Rollei film on the order it ain't gonna get here any time soon!

Kenro Translucent Sleeves are my prefference, they have an almost paper texture to them & the negatives can be placed into them smoothly in my experience. Pretty reasonably priced too!

Very reasonable, I shall get some of those.

Another vote here for the glassine sleeves.......tried the clear acetate ones and found them a complete nightmare to use tbh........I wonder if anyone actually does really get on with them.

The ones i get from Peak imaging with my E-6/C-41 films arent too bad

I used to use paper sleeves, but then I had a problem when somehow some of the pages must have got a little damp somewhere along the line (god knows how) and it impossible to unstick the negs from the paper; it was like they were glued together, even with a long soak in water that I tried with one strip. Ended up losing some frames, though fortunately it wasn't some stuff that was so important.

TBF, I don't know if I'd have been any better off with plastic sleeves in that situation, but it put me right off paper ones.

Mmm interesting about the pages sticking with damp......upto press i've never had any problems so i go with the attitude of if it's not broke then don't fix it.

As for plastic sleeves, I actually use platic A4 sleeves ( that are used for filing A4 paper documents) for my sheet films ......never had an issue with them but of course they aren't suitable if you have half a dozen strips of 35mm film to store.

I bought myself a box of sleeves made by kaiser. Seems to be made of silicone paper but someone mentioned glassene? I got them on ebay and were a bargain but can't find the seller now. Perhaps i had his last ones but I've seen them online.
I've only ever used these as I've not been at film longer than 5 months, so can't comment on their merits over other types but I've had no problems whatsoever.
