NEF Raw converter for photoshop cs3?

Hi just been shooting in raw on the new d300s i got at the weekend. And low and behold i cant edit the raw files in cs3?!

I tried downloading the new camera raw but it doesnt work with cs3 apparently.

Anyone got any alternatives? :shrug:

I have to edit in Raw!!! :thumbs:
 
Hi Muss, CS3 does not support NEF's for that camera.

Options- Upgrade to CS5, convert NEF's to ADobe DNG raw format so they will open in CS3, or use another raw converter that supports the D300s. :)
 
There must be something cheaper and easier then upgrading to cs5?! although i am very tempted to upgrade after playing around with it today.

Seriously though... spend all this money on camera etc and you dont get a decent raw editor or converter?


I want to be able to recover shots if need be!
 
NX2 is a really nice program, its slower than photoshop, but produces nice results from the Nikons.

Adobe DNG converter is free and works a treat - I use it all the time and I've got the D700 and use CS2, certainly can't afford to upgrade to CS5.
