looking to learn a few lighting techniques, any advice on who/where in the north west could help me ?

It can be difficult to recommend people, because unfortunately there's some truth in George Bernard Shaw's saying "He who can, does. He who cannot, teaches" and cynics may feel that some of the teachers are people who can't hack it as photographers.

What, specifically, do you want to learn?

I'm planning to put on another of my lighting workshops on product photography in August, and possibly another one on fashion/people photography in September. These workshops will be free.
