"Naturally, the camera is fully compatible with Canon's complete line of EF autofocus lenses"

So that's any EF lens you want really.....

isn't the 300d EF-S, those lenses won't fit film or pro cameras because they are designed for small sensors and mirrors so stick into the body further

tbh I'd buy a 50/1.8 from kerso on here and use it on both bodies :D

75 quid I think apologies I meant 50/1.8 will edit post

its a fixed 50mm lens that has a wide max aperture so will give a very shallow depth of field (blurry background) and be very good in low light

on the 500n it will be standard which is a good focal length for general stuff, on the 400d it will be a very nice portrait lens

its also by a fair margin the cheapest lens canon make that will go on a full frame camera as all the current entry level cameras support EF-S lenses (which are way cheaper to make because they have smaller front elements)

this is the fella his warranties are good and its a smidge cheaper than anywhere online

they go for cheaper secondhand but like 60-65 I think so not much cheaper

another option would be a used old kit lens from mifsuds not sure what they have in stock at present though

Or, if you prefer a zoom lens, the Canon 28-80mm and Canon 28-90mm can be found very cheaply 2nd hand (£25 to £40).

You can also get old Sigma lenses that only work with film cameras for bargain prices on a famous auction site (£10 to £20)
