Need some help on focussing

Hi All

I am using a 7D and 100-400L

When a bird is in flight, do you usually use AF or MF? If AF what setting do you have it at? I get so many varied results that I am sure there is a way that they wont be 'as' varied ;-)

Use AF on the 100-400 and AF point expansion set on the 7D. AI Servo and continuous shooting is necessary. After that its just practice.
I use back button focusing on the 7D which takes some getting used to but is big help with BIF. I hope this helps

Also if you have IS on, make sure it is mode 2 (panning).
