Need quick help regarding vinyl

Hi, I'm just setting up a new white vinyl roll as I have a test shoot in an hour in the new studio.
Feeling a bit dumb here but with the new white vinyl the rough side is up an the smooth side is facing down when I roll it out. Is this right of have they put it on the roll the wrong way?

Can you not just turn the roll around to get to to unroll from the behind?

Yeah that.

Or unroll it the whole way and reroll it. Or use the shiny side....

Surely if you had a roll with two colours on it you would have to do this anyway
