Hi Guys,

I'm a search engine optimisation expert and have just lauched a new blog for Photoshop Makeovers but am finding it hard to get hi-res images of faces to retouch. Im optimising the blog for first page google position under keywords 'Photoshop Makeovers' and 'Digital makeovers'.

Here's the offer,

If you give me an image and I use it on my blog ill add a link below the image linking to your home page, something like - image supplied by yourweblink.

Send the images to photoshopmakeovers@hotmail.com with your link.

If your interested but have further questions please ask as im really struggling for professional images straight of the Cam
 
just think if i use 10 images thats 10 backlinks from a site that is relavent to yours and even if you dont have a site i can add something else like your name, email address or number.
 
I wonder if they'll reccomend me a book :thinking:
 
I would be more impressed if these offers included a proper reply email address rather than hotmail. Don't know what others think but to me a hotmail address is just not professional!

I understand what your saying about the email but its just something im doing in my spare time through blogger which doesnt give a domain email address. The reason for the blog is because i take an interest in digital editing and I wanted to put that and my seo together.

True the blog is new its only been going for a week but with out images it wont work so im asking for help.

Nope. It makes no sense to write a blog that you can't provide material for yourself. In my opinion you'd take photo's if you were interested in 'digital editing'.

Sorry for being blunt but I think it safe to assume what you want free images for.
 
Not being funny Tom but you dont know what your talking about, you no nothing about SEO from looking at your website. You have a PR of wait for it 0 which means you get 0 traffic, which says one thing to me your photos are poor. So id like to pull back the offer to you.
 
Mattyh have you got a website that shows up in google? to be honest everyone that posted have any of you got a website that ranks 1st page?

It is like walking into a room of people you don't know who are interested in something that you know nothing about and telling them that they know nothing.

Ok ok im sorry, i didnt mean to offend. I just dont understand why something so simple turned into a blood bath. Everyone is totally against the offer can someone please tell me what i should do in order to gain professional images from photographers? (PR stands for page rank the only way you gain a high page rank is relavance and traffic. If you look at googles pr its 10 if you look at a site that gains little traffic its usually between 1-3, thats why when people sell there sites they use there PR as the pulling tool.

Looks like I should call all my clients and apologize for all the poor photo's I'm churning out too, it must be that low PR rating. Time for me to throw the towel in and cease to earn a living eh?

Well if you want some free photos take them yourself or find a forum with people daft enough to sell them for links/credit/etc.

Thanks im actually a seo pro, found a tutorial on youtube about photoshop makeovers which i found by chance, watched a few clips and gave it ago after about 3 gos i got, so decided to blog it. Im going to put some tutorials on my blog as well but im going to sprend that stuff out over the year, want to keep adding stuff every week or so.

Do you know where i could get some hi-res images of models? Ive been using wallpapers which have had little work done to them but im really looking for the same size images but with no work done to them, got any ideas Ugly Cat?

I cannot work out why you want other people to send you images for your blog - if you are going to do retouching on a commercial basis then you will be charging and thus could pay for the use of the original images. Your blog just shows a couple of examples but no actual information as to why you are displaying them - as a tutorial, because you can or something else.

Bloodbath, not really. We just learn to be suspicious when someone wants something for nothing - and offering links from a new blog without a lot of content from someone who has only just joined is akin to nothing - rather than cash.

If Robert is correct (and he usually is) then you say you have been downloading images from metacafe - did you read their usage page - downloading pictures from any website and using them elsewhere can sometimes prove very costly

You see, while this guy comes across as being a knowall about SEO, yet actually sounds as though he knows diddly squat.....this actually sounds quite a clever ruse.

You see what he's done, is basically started this empty blog site (for whatever reason), and him sneaking a link on a well established photography site, means his site crawls that little bit higher in google ;)

Oooooh, do you see what I did there? I called spam....but in a posh way :p

Just Googled for Child photography my area, my website came up 1st & 6th on page 1

For Wedding photography I was a lowly 2nd on page 1 of Google

My thoughts exactly pxl8 - if you want images take them yourself.
This certainly appears to be one way traffic .... you're not having any of mine to review or use.:thumbsdown::shake:
