Hi all,
I have a Lowepro Fastpack 250 as my regular bag.

I am off to Egypt in a few weeks and really want to take most if not all of my kit.
Not a cats chance in hell that I am going to check it so I want it as carry on but my regular bag is to big.

My kit will probably include:
Body - 400D
Lens - 18-55mm, 50mm, 70-300mm
Flash - 1 Sigma 500 DG
Bunch of batteries, couple of filters, radio sync and trigger, 2 memory cards, card reader, cleaning stuff etc...

Any ideas?

Thought I would give this a bump as I posted it the other day and didn't get a reply.
I have continued shopping but still can't settle on a choice.

I guess I should have added that although the Fastpack 250 has space for a laptop, I'm not taking that to Egypt with me.

even a littl orion trekker wil lfit that kit and its got the space up top fpr all your travel documents food/water etc....

Cheers 33L I will have a look into one.

Hi Any,
Not looking to spend a lot as I will probably only ever use it when I go on a flight.
Not fused what style really but another backpack would be cool

Hi Bill,
I'm off to Kenya on sunday, and I was in your predicament, I purchased a Lowepro Flipside 300, cost £39 delivered from Amazon (£90 in pc world) I am well pleased with it, its taken my D300 with nikon 300mm f4 af-s lens with attached 1.4 tc, my D80 with 80-200 f2.8, plus nikon 18-70 lens. also squeezed in my epson p3000 viewer, charger and batteries. And its well within size for hand luggage, it also has rear access so no need to worry about someone doing the zips behind you. It weighs in at 7kg so i'm pushing weight wise but we are allowed this on our flight.

Lowepro MiniTrekker? Right size for carry-on and holds plenty - even leaves a bit of space to pack some extra kex and socks!

1 D700 + 70-300 VR
2 Tamron 90mm Macro
3 50mm f/1.8
4 Sigma 8mm Fisheye
5 Sigma 12-24
6 Sigma 24-70 f/2.8
7 Batteries (holds 3 in this slot)
8 Film (Charger fits in this slot - lead will go in 10 or outside)
9 Cards (cases hold 8 CF)
10 Rubber hood(s), level, torch, cleaning kit etc.

There's also an outside pocket for less camera friendly stuff (like sarnies, charger lead, card reader etc) and a tripod holder and a couple of sliplock attachment loops.

Most airlines have a weight restriction on carry on though, Any bag may be too heavy. Have a great trip been twice, Watch the locals, Some will rob you blind.

I've just got hold of a billingham hadley pro...first bag I've had that I'm not going to sell on. I carry 30D, 10-22mm, 17-55mm and another usually prime, something like a 135mm f2/85 f1.2 etc. I can also fit the 580II in the front pocket. They expand well and fit quite a bit of stuff in them. When travelling i pack the body without lens and this gives me the room to slide a asus eee in the back comparment. Looks like a small bag but you can fit loads of stuff in it, ideal for travel. Has a zip pocket on the back to put boarding pass/passport etc in.
