Need London B&B or hotel recommendations

Looking for recommendations for b&b or hotels in the Shaftsbury area or nearby in London, preferably from personal experience, no more that £100. per night...less is better I don't know the London area at all so don't want to end up in a bad area. I will be there for approx 3 days.

I've stayed at a few Premier Inn's in London and other cities and they have all been suprisingly nice. Have stayed at the one on Belvedere Road in the County Hall building in London - I think it was about £120 with all you can eat buffet breakfast included. Right next to the London Eye so dead easy for travelling around.

We always stop in the Premier Inn at Kings Cross, never had reason to complain and its bang next to the station.
Are you going by train or driving??

when we went down we stayed at the travelodge docklands, really handy as you have to go through docklands security to get to it so your car is safe, Docklands light railway is a 2 minute walk, 5 mins and you're in central london.

Dont think you can beat Travel lodge prices at the moment, recently stayed at wembley Friday night with full breakfast for under £20.five mins walk to the tube station.
