Need help. Suggestions for "Decay" please.

Been set a project to take shots representing "Decay". Apart from rusty old cars and boats or our compost heap I'm stuck for ideas. Anybody got any oddball suggestions for decay?

I even thought about a pic of MIL, but SWMBO vetoed that idea!!!
 
Leave some fruit on the window sill in the sun and take photos each day as it rots away....

decomposing roadkill perhaps. not all photography has to be pretty.
 
Get macro and shoot some rotting things?

Abandoned/tatty buildings with graffeti?

That bloke from Jamiroquai... oh hang on thats JK not DK... maybe if you killed him and took a picture of his rotting corpse? "JK in DK". Thats really neat, I should have stuck with poetry.
 
I like the teeth; I can get a set of partial dentures that will look good.

Also like the rotting fruit in some form of montage.

how about the invoice for a top of the range digital camera juxtaposed with its listings on ebay over the next 5 years as it decays to zero?

Fruit left in (or out) of the fridge too long.
The compost heap.
Flowers that are overblown and ready to drop the petals.
Old rail bridges if you can find any, ditto rolling stock. You'll want nice rusty stuff.
 
Decay by acid, sunlight, heat, fire. Maybe a sunset could be classed as decaying light?
 
i like the grave robbing idea.

maybe if you dug up michael jackson and showed the undecayable with all that plastic?

maybe some abandoned streets that havent been knocked down?

if you live near a questionable area you could show the unsavoury aspect of that community?
 
Listening to Radio 4 yesterday morning, a commentator described an interesting concept:

- Age of Disaster (when man was in danger of big animals/volcanos/etc.)
- Age of Disease (when man was more 'civilised' but insanitary, meaning plagues spread like wildfire)
- Age of Decay (where man has conquered most of his environment, meaning a lot of death is the cause of natural decay).

What I'm getting at is a picture of an interesting old person.
 
Michael Jackson has already been exhumed. Doctors agree that his condition is satisfactory.
