Need help buying a TLR

The rollieflex was designed with a narrow strap. Most people used a shoulder grip with one. But a narrow leather strap in good condition has a natural elasticity that takes away a lot of the dead weight much better than a wide fabric one. Much in the same way as the expensive neoprene ones do.

My Op/Tech strap was about £12. Having used a wide variety of straps, load-bearing is definitely best with a neoprene strap and the loop attachments means I can use the strap on more than one camera quickly - very handy, as my DSLR has the same Op/Tech attachments.

I too use an op/tech strap on my DSLR.
However I made a narrow leather adjustable one for my Fuji X20. Using high quality supple full grained hide, which is fitted with detachable nylon loops not unlike the Op/tech ones. This gives Just the right amount of bounce and support for a smallish camera. If you want to quickly remove the strap, the loops can be left on the camera

You can see the end fittings in this shot of my walking pole ? monopod adapter.

I decided to go for an Op/Tech strap which looked like good value (less than £12) and a comfy width. I found a load of straps on Etsy which were beautiful leather designs but I didn't fancy paying £40 and having to wait two weeks to use the camera. They will have to wait until my funds are a little more plentiful. Cameras, film, dev tanks, changing bag, thermometers, chemicals, light seal kits, scanner and two enlargers etc. etc. have seriously depleted the 'play fund' :-)
