Hello folks! I want to build a firepit similar to the one in the picture. Nothing too expensive but good-looking.

I`m stuck. I can't find the name of the stones used here or where to buy them.

Can anyone spill some light?

Thank you so much in advance!

Looks like Cotswold stone to me, I'm no expert though.

Most decent sized garden centres will have them. Possibly builders' merchants too, although you might need to buy rather more than you need from there!

The photo shows what looks like an American house maybe? The tag on the photo "Creatively Southern" appears to be a Tennessee company who do things in wood, anyway. So I'd guess the stone is granite rather than cotswold stone.

Bradstone and Marshalls both do a concrete block with a textured face that look like those, they are available in grey and cream. Most builders merchants/wickes/B&Q sell them.

Actual rocks cut like that will be expensive in comparison, cotswold or portland stone would be the likely UK option.

Tried Taskers and B and Q they didn't have them.

They don't have to be exact stones like the ones in the picture, more something similar to it.

What about one of these?

It looks a bit cheapish but I agree it is something similar to the one in the picture. My idea to have something being like a natural stone. I could be wrong, but it looks plastic on the webpage you provided. But thanks for the suggestion.

If could please send a link, the Wickes BandQ and Taskers was my first point to look for them ... but I cant see anything similar on their websites. Sorry

Google marshalls or bradstone paving, navigate to walling

Or wickes and search walling

I draw the line at actually ordering them for you but as your profile says Liverpool Wickes at Chorley, Birkenhead and Aintree have more than 200 in stock
