I want to carry my Fuji XE-2 and 27mm pancake lens with me when I go walkabout. I need a small belt mounted carry case but I just cannot find anything suitable. I need a case with internal dimensions 140mm x 90 x 75 - has anyone out there got any recommendations

Crumpler light delight 200. I use it for exactly that.

Have a look at the ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 5. I use one for a fully pimped X30 so there's a good chance an XE2 will fit.

I was going to suggest the 10. I have one and think it's about the dimensions mentioned.

EDIT - Dimensions of 5 - 9 x 12 x 8 cm
Dimensions of 10 - 12.5 x 13.5 x 9.5 cm

That's the sort of bag I'm looking for but it's too small according to the dimensions in the ad. Are you saying that you have an XE-2 and 27mm lens in that bag? If not, what camera/lens do you have in it?

Thanks

The 5 is too small and the 10 is too big. I want as small as poss and just for the camera/lens I.e. no phone or sunglasses or wallet etc :-)

Why does it need to be in a pouch? I hold my Sony A6000 onto my belt using a Capture Clip so it's always to hand without having to get it out of a bag.

Slightly extreme example but this is it attached to the clip with a 70-200 for the last wedding I shot.

Yep Fuji X-E2 with the 27mm 2.8 fitted.

It will also accommodate the paracord wrist strap and a spare SD card but that's really it- it's pretty much spot on without being tight.

The only thing I didn't like was the solid but consequently jangly zip pulls. I pulled them off with pliers and replaced them with wire- you could do the same with a bit of cord if you also have OCD.

Wow, that's just what I am looking for - thanks

Well, I've ordered a Lowepro Dashpoint 20 and a Crumpler Light Delight 200 from Amazon and will keep the better of the two. The info supplied by the manufacturers suggest that neither will fit the XE-2/27mm combo I have but the photo here proves that they are being somewhat conservative in their measurements. There aren't many camera shops around me and the choice of camera bags is very limited - hence the need to order from the 'Hinterweb'. Thank you to all who have contributed to this - it is much appreciated and hopefully I will soon be able to use my XE-2 as a walkabout camera instead of it sitting in the bag with the XT-1 and lenses.

Cheers

Well both the above cases were delivered yesterday and both will be returned today. The Lowepro was too small and the Crumpler had its zip incorrectly stitched so that the lid wouldn't open fully - the XE-2 and 27mm lens did fit (just) but the zip teeth fouled the camera body each time it was inserted/removed. I really need something fractionally bigger - but that's the problem - the next size up is too big :-(

I've got a lowepro Apex 60 that I used to use with my X100. There was a flap inside that I had to remove but it should fit the X-e2 with 27 by doing the same thing. Also has an all weather cover.

A tad too small for my camera/lens - still looking

Lowepro Rezo 60, that very combo is in it now, perfect fit, think it's discontinued now though

Only use it for storage so if you can't find one (if you wanted one obviously) let me know and i'm sure we could sort something out

You sure? I've not got the 27 any more but I simulated one :)

Well, therein lies the problem - without trailing around all the camera shops and trying the camera bags with my setup, I am forced to rely on measurements from the sellers/manufacturers websites and they are not accurate. I have bought about six bags recently and had to return them all. I really want the bag to be belt- mountable and as small as poss otherwise it will get in the way. According to the info supplied, that Lowepro bag is too small, but from your photos, it obviously isn't. I will get one

Thanks for the input :-)

Thanks Colin, that's very good of you - do you no longer want it then? Please let me know how much I owe you :-)

Just pop a couple of pounds for postage into the next macmillan donation box you see and that will be fine.

I'll pm you for postage details.
