Hi,

I'm leaning more towards a shoulder bag but this is not set in stone, but it will need to hold the camera, the 18-105 lens kit lens, Nikkor 70-30mm lens and maybe in the future a 50mm prime. Bonus points for the ability to attach a folding tripod.

Obviously there will need to be space for filters, SD cards and a spare battery but i think this is pretty much assured with any bag.

thanks guys

Have just been looking at the Lowepro Nova 180 AW.

Anyone used this before?

Hi

Yes I've one of the nova range, so does my FIL. I'm sure his is the 180 (think I've the 200). Very pleased with the bag, comfortable and well padded.

This is the exact same one which I have to carry my D3100, kit lens, 35mm f1.8 and 55-300mm lens. In addition, I can fit my joby gorrilapod tripod (a bit of a squeeze) and ball head plus 3-4 filters, shutter release, popupflash light difuser, memory cards, usb stick and all the cases for my lenses. There's lots of room! I can have my SLR and telephoto attached and it still fits comfortably. If I ditch the gorrilapod, I could probably fit another lens in there. Possibly two.
