ND filters

It's wondered if anyone has got an ND500, I'm interested in getting one.

Is it worth getting? Pictures I've seen look amazing when using a really strong nd filter

Is it the same as the lee big stopper?

At a guess I would say it was half the strength of the Big Stopper (ND1000)

Well a ND500 is roughly 9 stops, and the big stopper is ND1000 which is 10 stops. If the quality is the same but the price is different I'd go for the cheapest as I wouldn't be bothered about a 1 stop difference but that's just me.
