the ND filters more importantly, as i imagine the polarizing could be very difficult. but Is it possible to attach ND filters to a fisheye? as they dont have threads to attach to, but i imagine if i used those drop-in filter holders, using big enough filters to be able to cover the whole 180* degrees?

I looked at this problem with the Lee filters people, I was looking at getting an ND for a Sigma 14mm, and we decided that it really wasn't a practical thing to try and do, although if anyone else can come up with suggestions, we'll look at it again.

The real problem as I'm sure you can imagine is the fact that the front element would almost have to touch the filter, and even then, to avoid the holder being seen by the lens, it would have to be pretty massive, and the filters would probably have to be specially made- a pretty expensive exercise for what we saw as really a small market!

Hope this makes sense!

George

Some fisheyes (The NIkkor 10.5mm for certain, not sure of others) have rear gel holders (behind the rear element). You can certainly get ND gels, but not polarizers, and not ND graduated filters, either.

I really like gel filters, but if you hate changing lenses then they're not for you.

Yes, I should have mentioned gels. `sorry

Muler, check PM.
