 :help: another newbie question about buying Neutral Density filters..

when buying ND filters to fit my canon 600d is it like anything else you get what you pay for, or will any ND filters do the same job..

Ive Just been having a search on ebay for some and come across THESE will they be ok for the job or will i have to buy better ones to get better photos..

many thanks for any advise you may give...

:help:

The filter is more determined by what lens you are using rather than the camera. Those are to screw into a 58mm thread on the front of your lens. I'd this what your lens has?

As for any filters, go for the best you can afford. I made the mistake of buying cheap first time round and could noticeably see the difference in IQ and they had a strange colour cast. Better ones reduce this

thank you Kieranbennett for the quick reply..

yes my lens are 58mm

what make of filter would i be looking for then.? as most on ebay dont have a name to them.. i dont want to buy crappy ones & end up getting poor photos from the results but at the same time i am on a budget & dont want to be paying out silly money for filters as its only a hobby

ive been doing quite a bit of research since my last post & to be honest im also going to go with the Cokin P style of holder for the simple reason if i ever get any other lens size other than the 58mm all i need is a new back plate... where if i get the screw on ones i will have to re buy all my filters.. :gag:

glad i waited now.
thanks for the reply
