Hey all,

I'm after some (ideally not glass) ND filters and the support system... any recommendations? Not after grads or 10 stop stuff, 1-4 stops would be a good range. Looked at the hitech sets - seem pretty good all round? 100mm P size I assume is the size to get? Needs to work with 77mm rings

After a bellows hood too to accompany... hoppyUK suggested this one in a thread aaages ago, any good? How much better is the lee one? Happy to invest...

What else would I need? Adaptor rings I presume, and would that be it?

Sorry for the deeply nooby post...

cool, cheers, yeah, hitech do seem to be spoken very highly of :) And I do like the price of £51 for a set...

Any thoughts? especially after experiences with hoods...

I use a Hitech 6-stop in a Lee filter holder. The hitechs are good filters but the 6-stop does produce quite a magenta cast - probably wouldnt be a problem with lower strengths but you may want to look into it, the 4-stop may have a slight cast.

cheers, yeah, not looking for anything as dark as 6 stop, just a few stops to get me some shallow depth of field back when shooting with flashes in the sun :)
