I ordered a few filters last week and only the ND8 has arrived:suspect:

I was hoping to go and shoot at a beach today would this filtet be ok to use on a overcast day? or should i up the exposure or anything settings on my camera?

Dont wanna go out if the picstures might not be worth while

Thanks in advance.

Prob a silly question but if u dont ask u wont know ,i always say lol:)

Ps i also have a Av and a starlight filter

You'll be fine - you may need to play around with the settings and have longer exposures but thats what its for.

Do you have a tripod or any other way of keeping the camera still during the long exposures? The 420 doesnt have Image stability does it? Even a beanbag or something to help you keep it positioned as you want is good.

I'd also think about using the self timer - putting the delay in between pressing the button and the shutter opening means that you wont suffer motion blur.

Have a nice time.

Hey Thank for the reply. Yes i have a tripod I use it all the time rather than hold the camera lol...

Not sure how i use the selftimer on it...

Great its pouring down. I will still go anyways and hope for the best:)
