Week 10 Pattern
Had 2 ideas for this week. The mallards round here get fed so much they are very easy to photograph and we have lots of Hellebores out in the garden. I decided the feather pattern fitted the subject best although I always like the pattern of the Hellebore petals. The Hellebore was an automatic 15 shot stack blended in photoshop. Two great shots. The feathers are fabulous for the theme, but as a stand alone shot, that hellebore is glorious - I'd be tempted to crop it square, but that's just me liking square frames for flower shots
Sorry, catching up... The horizontal image is lovely - the framing and the colours. The feather is gorgeous and made me throw my similar attempt in the bin! And love your cat!!
Week 13 Texture + Long Exp Tech
Smoothing the water with a long exp sunset. Background is the now smokeless Tata steel works. Tata Steel Margam by Nick Dallimore, on Flickr
Such a shame about the steel works. I sometimes used to go on the train with my Mum to the Valleys of South Wales. We would go past Port Talbot at night - it was like the fires of Hell - both frightening and exciting to a young child (I was about six).
Week 15 Choice
Spent Sunday floating around on the lake photographing an event. Chose this one out of about 1000 pics. Used the great new photoshop feature of 1 click wire removal to get rid of most of the loads of power lines in the original. Tata_Osprey_2025-121 by Nick Dallimore, on Flickr
Great pic, love the colours & you've got rid of the wires well! The remaining post looks a little lonely now, but almost blends in as a gigantic sail at first glance
