Hey there guys!

I have been in the photography world for 8 years now, and I have gained so much knowledge and developed a lot of skills. And I have yet to begin my video/cinematography career. I have taken a great interest in shooting wildlife, and from there, I have gotten the idea of shooting my own wildlife documentary.

Now, I am not asking for detailed instructions on what gear and accessories to buy, or what video software that I would be better off using. I am not going after exotic cine cameras like the Canon C300 mark 2 or Red Raven or Sony FS7 (I do know a bit of information), but what I am looking forward to know is where can I begin? I am fully aware that regardless of my gear, it mostly boils down to my own skill, which I do not doubt.

I want to know which dslr/camera system (eg:panasonic, sony) can I count on to produce great results for nature and wildlife documentation right off the bat. I can do lots of in depth research on my own, as soon as I decide whether to get something like the GH4/5 or the a7r2 or the 5dMark4 FOR EXAMPLE! And yeah, I shoot Nikon, so I do not have canon lenses available to make it an easy feat to start with canon for example. Not that Nikon is bad in the video category, it just doesn't shine like others do!

If you know a good camera system I could start with, which ALSO has lots of good lenses/cine lenses available to make my vision come true? I would greatly appreciate any help, just enough to help me kick start this career.

Thanks!
Yousef
