How small do I feel right now. Just looking at the stars is bad enough, but looking back at earth, wow!
 
As David said, man has travelled between those 2 dots and the next stage is to travel from that bright dot to the camera position.

That's going to be a giant leap for mankind.

It'll never happen while we have such closed minds controlling the purse strings.

We only went to the moon to beat the Russians. It was justified with a veneer of pioneer spirit... but we all know it was just a way to fight the cold war.

Sadly... people are too stupid to go to Mars. Not intellectually... but we're just not grown up enough... we're too interested in our toys back here.. such as money and power.
