Hi all,
I have a fairly old WD My Book live 2tb NAS that will obviously fail one day ! Would like recommendations for a new drive say 4 or 6 TB , but want something easy to use. On the old drive I did not use the software it came with, just created shares and drag/dropped files to it , also need to copy files from old drive to new.
Thanks

Synology get my vote as well.
I'm running 2 x 2 bay of their NAS boxes.

Me Too, Synology get a huge thumbs up from me.
I just plugged my old hard drive into the synology and it copied everything straight over for me. I have set mine up so it auto backs up my computer daily and my phones when I walk in the house.

Recently bought a Q-NAP TS-230 2 bay NAS.

Very pleased so far.

Went for the Q-NAP as it had 4 times the RAM than the equivalent Synology for less money.

Asustor or Qnap get my vote you generally get more for your money over the same Synology. Asustor especially so.

Another Synology fan here - DS220j with 2 x 4TB Seagate drives fitted set up with Synology Hybrid Raid.

Moved over from WD last year and wish I'd done it sooner - it would have saved me a lot of grief and brain-ache :)
