Naming your Lenses

I was thinking this morning how it would be so much easier when talking to non technical people about photography, to give your favourite lenses an identification that was easier to understand. We have the nifty and the bigma but lets get more personal, wouldnt it be nice to tell people "Ohh, I took Sally out down the woods yesterday"

So what would be your Tina (simply the best) or Barbie (long and sexy, but no use whatsoever)

75-300mm f4/5.6 Mk III ... Tara (not PT, a girl I went to school with) ... cheap and useless
Kit lenses ... Stella (not the daughter of a Beatle, the drink) ... everyones tried it but are always looking for better
50mm f1.2 ... Margi (not Clark, a neighbour)... not much to look at but great in the dark

*Note : I have deliberately avoided direct references to anyone living or dead for fear of legal proceedings

Your Suggestions??

My German Shepherd is called Tara, she is now sharpening her teeth in case she meets up with you :lol:
 
if i said to the wife pass the 50mil she looks at me blankly - if i say pass the toy lens she know what i mean.:thinking::thinking::help::help:
 
Most of my kit ends up referred to simply as 'the doofer' as I can never think of the word I'm after.
