hi
recently got a new pc. On the previous one I did an Elements back up and backed up to an external hard drive. (All my pics lived under a folder: C:\Data\)
I set up the new Pc and once Id got round to installing elements I restored from the backup on the external hard disk.
Once Id done this, I noticed a week or so later that it had restored my photos to a directory like : C:\data\data, and then all my original subfolders.
I didnt like this so I used windows explorer to drag all folders below the 2nd level "data" folder up into the first level "data" folder as I had it previously.
Elements has now lost track of them all and all my tagged photos just show blank icons with a big ? on them in the organiser. I can right click and it will search and refind the photo but this takes time. I cant seem to find a way to resynch all the pictures at once.
Is there a way to do it?
Or will I have to restore again and put up with the double nested C:\data\data problem? :bang:
Thanks all
