I have a NicePhoto N680A that I use ocassionally at events. It came with a trigger that for some reason stopped working yesterday (first time it didn't trigger).

I changed the battery and when I press the trigger it ligts up green. It used to do this before when it worked so the battery seems fine in the trigger. I fully charged the flash (have a spare and tried that too). The flash fires if I press the 'test' button on the rear of the flash or if I use another trigger connected via a 3.5mm cable.

Both the flash and the trigger have dip switches and I think this is where the problem lies. There are four switches, I have matched the up/down positions of these switches on both the units but the trigger still doesn't fire the flash.

Anyone know what else to try?

Edit - I want to use the original trigger because the 3.5mm connector is 'loose' and if there is any tension from the weight of the dangling trigger for example, it won't work.
