Hi...I am currently shooting with a 4GB Sandisk Extreme III CF card for my new 50D...and am considering upping to either a 16GB or 32GB...saves on changing cards etc when shooting...

I have found a 16GB Sandisk Extreme III (20MB Speed one) here for a good price:

http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=777_6&products_id=102772

BUT...ALSO FOUND THESE 16GB and 32GB:

Never used them - but that coffee bean design looks familiar - but for the moment I can't put my finger on it...

I regularly use the 16GB MyMemory CF card in my D300; have also used the same card in an old 400D. It's a year old and I haven't had a problem (400D would only recognise it as a 8GB card, D300 recognises the entire 16GB).

Only draw back I can see is it is slow to R/W compared to my Sandisk Extreme III's - but you get what you pay for and since I paid £20 delivered last year on special, I won't complain.

Well I standardised on Sandisk Extreme III's quite a while back but I do have a couple of MyMemory 4GB "Hi Speed" cards too. They're OK, never had any problems at all with them. But I do suspect that they're not as fast as they were claimed to be. That apart I can't really fault them.

cheers

I got one and it failed after 2 days, sent it back and got a sandisk card, Now I will not use cards above 4GB, only takes a few seconds to change a card and if one fails I have not lost the lot.

I have 2 4GB mymemory CF cards and a 8GB card and never had any problems and I use them all the time. I've had them about a year.

Ive bought Kingston cards from mymemory but not their own branded ones. Quick deleivery, keen prices.

I would say that I wouldnt use cards so large at 16GB and 32GB to be honest, just in case of loss of card or corruption of data.

Max size i use is 4GB, thats 187 shots, RAW Plus small jpg.
