"Mymaps" or similar service on mobile offline

Hi all,

Before visiting places, i like to add locations to a map on google map, and since the places are ofnet overseas, i need to be able to access the map offline.

Now google in its wisdom does not allow viewing of mymaps on iOS, nor in many places allow downloading of maps for offline viewing. And neither does apple maps allow offline caching or anything similar to mymaps.

Does anybody have a recommendation for annotating maps for offline viewing?
 
Hi Neil - what i am looking for is an annotatable (is that a word?) map that you can download for offline use.

EG i am going to spain next month, and would like to mark places of interest on the map so when i am out and about can see what is nearby.
 
Most SatNav apps will allow you to put places of interest (poi) onto the map.
I use Mapfactor Navigator free to do this. It also gives you nearby places you may need like hospitals, police, local gov, recreation etc.
Spain and most of Europe is available for download.

ps, it also shows, and warns of speed cameras, road speed limits etc.
