Evening all I've finally managed to sort out my website design, at present its only really a portfolio site and I'm still uploading stuff to the site.
Would love to hear some opinions, first time ever using WordPress.

Hi. Its looking OK. I think the contrast between the text and the bg in the menu needs increasing. Its also odd that the back and forward buttons are so far away from the images. You also need to construct something suitable for the <title> tag. Presently it just says 'home'.

As a web designer I will give you a little tip. It's generally taboo to have pages with nothing on them. E.g. 'Gallery not found' if you don't have any pictures to go in there, add a description of what you can offer in that subject.

You have two lightboxes/viewers running, the default NextGen and Fancybox. The Fancy box is nicer IMHO.

Thank you Carol, <title> tag has now been sorted completly missed this.

When you say the back and forward buttons do you mean the home page slideshow?

Sorted forgot to disable it, stuck with NextGen as it appeared simpler to add galleries. I will look into fancybox a bit more

I can still see two viewers when I click on an image.

Oh, and I find the page background a little distracting, not the colour or texture itself, just the quality of the file. You might find a higher quality version here - http://subtlepatterns.com/

Personally I'd have the galleries together under one sub-menu and add a contact page.

...apart from these minor technical issues it looks good to me, nice and clean, great photos. ;)

Thanks JT76, any idea why its still showing two? I have fancy box disabled, I had issues previously where I would click and image and it would be shown in one style window, click to close and it would change to another style window before another click would finally close it, is this what you mean by two?

OK I've taken onboard all the advice and done some rejigging, so how's it looking? Would appreciate some honest feedback?
