Hey all who read this,

I've got a website set up, to display my photography. It has been on the go since last may but have changed the look of it a million times along the way.

I'd like some HONEST feedback on it now. It's not for business purposes, as i only do photography as a hobby and am not at a professional photography standard, but still always believe when you do something you should do it well. Hence some criticism is wanted please. [Don't be TOO harsh! lol.]

Many thanks.

Nice site. The photography is good. Runs smoothly. I like the speed of the slideshow.Very enjoyable.

Hi Yvonne
I like the bg, the logo, and the slideshow is fine. I think you could put the rest of the page on another page and avoid having to scroll down for the info and so lose the logo and pics. The links to existing other pages appears right at the bottom and rather small. You could move them to the space top right? Just suggestions.

I like it as well. simple and effective.

The only thing I am not sure about is the wood effect background but that is completely a personal thing so don't take too much notice of me.

The other point which I am thinking about in my own web design at the moment is that if it is just for people to see what you have been up to recently (like mine) then maybe some sort of chronological ordering of your photos so people have quick access to new stuff. Just a thought but congrats anyway on your photography

Hi Yvonne

I also like your background, logo and slide show. But the logo is too big meaning that you have to scroll down for the slide show. It's slightly irritating to me. I also agree that all the other stuff under the slide show would be better on a seperate page.

thanks for the feedback, i'll make a seperate 'about me' page. I think i used to have one way at the beginning but had very little to say about myself, so the page ended up looking empty, so just merged the two! I'll give it another go.

Also links are at the bottom?? I have the links on the left hand side! Took a screenshot:

Is it not displaying like that??

Like the idea of a recent updates page.

As for the wood background... i dunno, i just was trying to make my site look different from every other photography website. But, not so different as to distract from the images themselves.

Hi Jo

Yeah, the logo is a bit big... will put that on my list of stuff to change. :)

Thanks for the feedback all. Any other stuff that you find annoying / things that could be approved etc... keep them coming!

The only annoying thing I can see is the tiling of the wood background.

I like the site. Got some lovely images - especially like the rose and the green eyes.
I agree with the comments about the tiled backgrounds.
I would suggest getting some scale in typography - bigger headers or menu items - as the type looks a bit 'samey'

Lovely site. I think it would be better though if when it loaded you could see the picture, rather than having to scroll down.
