My site

I like the website layout. Simple to navigate.

Although Page 3 doesn't work for me. Check your links.
Also make your email address clickable.

While your at it I would do 'target=_blank' for the 'overspill' link as it goes to your flickr and away from your hosted website.

Speaking of flickr I think you have some great photos on your flickr that aren't on your main site and should be. Put your best stuff on your hosted site

Loving your composition in a lot of them.

Yeah three isn't up yet, im going to get that online this week hopefully.

Fully agree with the email link and the flickr page opening a new page, ill get onto that.

I was trying to keep the photos on the site kinda themed, and the random photos to go on flickr (if that makes sense)? Any on the flickr you think should go on the main site?

thanks a lot for the feedback, very helpful!

Looks good to me, the bike shots are excellent.
I am no expert & I do like the photo on the front page but should it be a bike shot as that is your main area of work?

I recognise the picture of the florist. Is it at the Northern general?

shifting :)

I agree. Do theme it.

I think your hosted website has an Urban theme and you should add/remove photos to it to keep it that way.
Keep all the camera club macro shots & your landscapes in flickr.

Your main 'click anywhere' photo on the entry (home) page should be one of your bmx shots as that's what you're (mostly) all about and you want to portray that from the outset.

You could give the numbers categories if you moved a few photos about.

One - BMX
Two - Urban or Street (move the portrait ones to section 3)
Three - People

Some may overlap (category wise) but put it whatever it feels right.

Ones I would add are,

http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecoxphoto/4271600044/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecoxphoto/4127257535/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecoxphoto/3987168696/ (but i would clone out the blue line coming out of him)
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecoxphoto/3910176968/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecoxphoto/3426484524/
http://www.flickr.com/photos/joecoxphoto/4042782630/

I would drop a few too.

For example in section 'Two' I would drop the first photo of the Viking using a cash machine. I get why it you took the photo (i would have done the same if I had noticed him too) but unfortunately the blue dots obscure his face. You have better stuff than that to show. But if you do want to keep it don't lead off with it. Lead off with your best photo of that section.

Also the friends playing cards (getting blunted) is a flickr photo. Not a portfolio photo.
Same could be said about the other shot taken in the same flat.

Possibly a few other but I don't want to ramble on any further.
These are only my opinions, I may be wrong, so don't necessarily take my advice. See what others think too.

Well would love to see it ... not showing here though maybe you updating it... ohhh no wait it juuust loaded hmmm *goes off to check we are getting 10 Meg broadband*

now had the problem sorted (my end not yours) nice layout not sure about the viewer as means scrolling within a site and at first I thought it was landscaped or joind one HUGE image maybe use a couple of breakers to split them more? nice site some great shots wihtin it

thanks rowla some good advice in there, i agree with most of what you said. its nice to get another persons view on something, especially when youve spent ages on something and lose the luxury of seeing it for the first time. Good to get an outsiders first impression.

and deadprez yeah thats at the northern general. I love little old shop fronts like that..

cheers

Is any of the text in the tearsheet written by you, i instinctively find myself wanting to read it. You could make the areas click able to a zoomed higher resolution version.

I thought it was the same shop as I have seen it recently and thought it would make a good shot.

Good start, some great shots there too.

I agree about the ones to drop, things to consider is who are you aiming the site to? Corporates are not likely to be happy with shots of people smoking/rolling joints, leave them on your flickr and shift your top stuff over to the site.

Simple navigation, I like that and horizontal good! But theme the buttons so people know what they are looking at ;)
