My Personal Site

That looks pretty good to me, will of course be better when more content is added but overall a nice design. Whats the idea behind having the canon and hoya logos on the homepage?

:agree: that's an attractive looking site Tom ... clear and easy to use the only thing spoiling it for me is the over-sized and out of scale advertising (?) square at bottom right ... :suspect: ... it just doesn't fit with the clean lines and sizing of the rest of the site and immediately grabs the viewers attention imhgo ...

:p

Looks professional but you use the word amatuer on the front page. I don't think theres any need to advertise that!

Looks good, but I agree on the idea of removing the Canon/Hoya logos.

the canon and hoya logos where meant to be a lot smaller and the section was meant to be titled equipment, but after i had got the logo out of illustrator and then out of photoshop my guesstimate for the size was a little off :D

I will look at removing them and substiuting some small icons with text to fall inline with the rest of the design.

Thank you for responses.

I have just finished intergrating my gallery into the site and updating the links, still a fair bit to do to make it compliant but thats stuff you dont see.

Removed the logos in the bottom right, added another picture to picture box (if you keep refreshing the page it should change).

its late, my eyes hurt and big brother has melted my brain :D so some fresh eyes would be most appreciated.

Hi Weirdo109,

its all hand coded (no templates):

Programs I used:
Photoshop
Dreamweaver (I use this for the code highlighting!)
Wamp (PHP, Apache Client for Windows for Local testing as it saves uploading it)

The bit that I didnt do is the pop-ups for when you click on a picture, this was created by Lokesh Dhakar and is from http://www.lokeshdhakar.com/projects/lightbox2/

The icons are from a set called Bright!

Nice website. Easy to navigate and professional look about it. Good colour scheme :)

Thanks for the info Tom. Coding is out of my realm so will have to stick with what I have at the moment.
I can understand how it all works, just can't get all the information to stick in my head.

Cheers mate, once again great site.

the sites looking well foz, i have to agree with wierdo109 that coding is well over my head

oh ive also noticed a few links arent working like the terms of use at the bottom, dunno if you know that or not
