My next major photography trip

Glad you had a safe enjoyable trip, really looking forward to seeing some more of your images on your return.

So, where are you off to next?

In October my wife and I are doing a cycling trip from Vietnam, through Cambodia and in to Thailand. Reading your blog has been so exciting, I can't wait to go and you (and others in the thread) have given me some helpful tips and ideas. We too are visiting Angkor, hopefully at some of the quieter times as we will be riding through on mountain bikes and staying locally.

I can't wait to see your processed images!

Hi, thanks all :)

My apologies for not responding sooner, I unfortunately have come home to some very serious family issues so I shall be off the radar for quite some time.

I will update my website when I have the images processed, but I can't see that being for a very long time now.

Welcome back :)

Take your time, family comes first , I hope things are resolved to your satisfaction soon.

As always family first mate, hope it gets sorted soon

Hi James,

Am I right in thinking that you did the 11 day package with All Points East?

I've been looking at this travel tour company and their Cambodia tours. They also do the same package as a photo tour "Images of Cambodia" with a travel photographer Nathan Horton, although this package is only for just 8 days. Did you consider this tour? Perhaps the 11 day general tour offered more flexibility and time out for developing your own photography situations. I'm still unsure the tour only (without flights) or the all inclusive (with flights) is the most cost effective option.

Thoughts would be appreciated.
Jo.

Hi Jo, I did indeed book through them, although I travelled on my own and changed the itinerary while I was over there to suit my photographic needs.

Mark Ord is an exceptional guide and All Points East organised the itinerary for me perfectly. I actually went out drinking with Nathan while I was out there (not that I can remember much of that night now!) and he is a lovely guy and a very good photographer too.

I was lucky that I got to go on my own and had Mark with me for the whole trip, plus a couple of local guides for some of the temples.

They come highly recommended, and I am sure if you mention my name to them, they can sort you out with a similar trip.

Enjoy :D
