I want to purchase a Lexar Professional USB 3.0 Dual Slot Reader and MyMemory appear to have the best offer at the moment. Does anyone have any comments good/bad pertaining to this company?
I have bought all sorts from them on many occasions.. Infancy I buy all my SD cards from there now.. I would recommend them to anybody. I have only had one issue with a 32gb SDHC which died after about 12 months of use. They replaced it straight away under their lifetime warranty.
Edit: My mistake, it's actually a 2 year warranty.
I have now purchased from them and received an email today saying my reader has been dispatched. I purchased through Top Cashback and payed via Paypal, but didn't see anything about discount. :|
I have .75p tracked with TCB, plus 1% for my credit card, but my wife has reminded me that I would only get discount from Paypal if I paid using their account, which I did but payed using a credit card, but that doesn't qualify. :shake:
Alan, if that reader is the SD/CF one that folds to protect the slots, check that the supplied cable will plug into it - the first one they sent me didn't, the unit was faulty. MyMemory (through Amazon) sorted me out a new one PDQ and without a quibble.
I ordered my reader from My Memory on Boxing Day and it arrived this morning direct from Switzerland. I call that brilliant service and the total cost including delivery...£18.99.
Yes Nod the cable works perfectly, but thanks for the tip.
I should also add that despite the fact that my laptop only has USB 2, the speed is brilliant.
